Your GIFs stay on your device

GIFShrink (gifshrink.com) reads, compresses and re-encodes GIF files with JavaScript that runs inside your browser. The files you open are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see them. Closing or reloading the tab discards them.

What we collect

We do not require an account and we do not use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If we add privacy-friendly, cookie-less usage statistics, they will only record page views and anonymous tool events (for example, “GIF compressed”), never file contents or file names.
